Chris Heintzman

     

Description.

Chris Heintzman has practiced martial arts for over twenty years. His study has included Kali, Pu Kang Tang Soo Do, Okinawan Kobudo, and American Karate. For the last eight years he has practiced Hop Gar Kung Fu under the guidance of Sifu David Chin. Chris currently teaches Hop Gar in Carrboro, North Carolina. Chris also teaches Tai Chi for the Chatham County Council on Aging and at the Plum Spring Clinic in Chapel Hill, NC.

The Hop Gar system focuses on striking with all parts of the body and taking the opponents space. Seminar attendees will come away with a basic understanding of the mechanics that are a requirement for the penetrating power of Hop Gar.
• Combat Push Hands Applications

Transition from single hand practice all the way to application. We will go over why standing post practice is necessary, why single hand practice is crucial, and how to make the transition from partner practice to sanda application.
