Description.

Yang Tai Chi started by Master Yang Luzen in early 19th century. Through the effort of Master Yang and his son Yang Banhou and Yang Jienhou, it become popular in Beijing and the surround Hebe area. The 3rd generation Master Yang Chenpu and Yang Shauhou brought it to the southern part of China. After world war II, the fourth generation masters spread it out even further. The fifth generation Master Wang Tzehou brought it to Taiwan in 1946, Through his effort, Yang Tai Chi has been populated in Taiwan.

The traditional Yang Tai Chi, also known as 108 forms, is compiled by Yang Chenpu. This traditional set of learning material has been evaluated by numerous kungfu masters as the most comprehensive and complete course of learning. It consists of detail specification of each form and associated movement. The focus is to accomplish it instead of just say it.

Master Liu Chengyuan learned Yang Tai Chi from Master Wang since 1970 in Taiwan. He has been teaching Yang Tai Chi in Taipei, Taiwan. Currently, he is teaching in Houston, Texas.

In this workshop, Master Liu will give you an overview of the Yang Tai Chi learning course, and some hand-on practice to show you some key specifications of each forms and movement. Tai Chi is not as easy as you have seen. It could be accomplished with the right effort and the right learning material.
