Shifu Jimmy Wong & Patty Sun!
Thank you very much for the opportunity to allow me to participate in your fantastic international competition! As I knew, it was a great place to once again become involved in the camaraderie, friendship and bonds that happen at well organized annual competitions like yours! It was a great pleasure learning and sitting next to Shifu Mike Barry, Shifu Gary Utterback and Shifu Jeff Birge and being a judge for all adult external hand forms and weapons! They were very open, patient and supporting in helping me adapt to the current rules (had been 10 years since involved with competition) and methods of judging both Taolu and San Shou! The external hand and weapons ring was actually the longest running ring on Saturday and it was a pleasure to stay throughout the entire day and judge alongside such experienced judges! As for San Shou on Sunday, after the 3 Shifu’s had spent time instructing me on the subtleties of current San Shou, they insisted I go out and judge to which I of course had to do, on a couple of bouts! Once again, a fantastic experience and event! Anyway, thank you both for the wonderful opportunity, I look forward to your event next year, count me in!

Although the people in this tournament less than last year。 But the atmosphere was lively, everyone was laughing always! Master Wong builds a perfect stage for the Chinese martial arts, so everybody from the U.S. and around the world will have a chance to come here to get together, to compete, to share knowledge, to meet old friends and make new friends. A Chinese saying is, “Use your martial arts to meet friends.” I think this is a very appropriate situation. The spirit of unity and virtue, and the desire to promote Chinese martial arts that is displayed in Sifu Wong’s tournament is the same spirit and desire of the United States Traditional Kung Fu Wushu Federation.

The 2010 Legends of Kung Fu World Martial Arts Championship is one of the best tournament in North America, good name and well orgainzed!
- Sylvia Wong, Western Chinese Martial Arts & Cultural Centre

What a great championship and so well organized and run! Congratulations to all who worked so hard. It was a pleasure to be there! Also, the T-shirts are marvelous. They are really cooler and so comfortable I have recently order two more. I have really noticed a difference in the way I feel in the terrible Houston heat and humidity. The shirts really work! Thanks again and here's looking forward to next years Legends of Kungfu!

My students also enjoyed competing as well as the wonderful demo's and show. It was a great experience. Sifu Jimmy Wong was great! And all of the Chin Woo students as well as behind the scenes people deserve a great hearty applause! Thank you so much!!!

Please tell Sifu Wong that I really appreciated having a separate ring for the Senior Executive category. I had a student participating in that category and it was so much better to have the older students go first than to have them wait until the very last. Thanks for a great tournament! -Linda Gibson

Master Wong, Ms. Sun, and everyone from USA Chin Woo,

Just a quick note to extend my sincerest, heartfelt "Thank You".

To Master Jimmy Wong and his students of USA Chin Woo for the monumental efforts of organizing an event of the magnitude of the "Legends of Kung Fu" tournament. It's a true honor to participate in a competition with such history and significance to the Chinese martial arts community as a Chin Woo (Jing Wu) event. His efforts bring honor to the founder of Chin Woo, Huo, Yuan Jia, and his ideal of martial art and competition as method of personal development. Martial arts are an activity that require participation and cooperation (without an opponent there is no fight, so no need for martial arts, and without partners there is no opportunity to train) and without the efforts of Master Jimmy Wong, there would have been no opportunity for so many excellent martial artists to compete.
Similarly, to the the judges and tournament officials for spending their own time and effort to travel from around the country and world to help with the event. Despite my own disagreements on certain issues regarding judging, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Additionally I would like to thank Ms. Sun for answering all of my questions leading up to the tournament so thoroughly and with such professionalism.

I look forward to participating in the Legends tournament for many years to come.
